A Creeping Tide Of Newness

There has been a creeping tide of newness appearing in my life. The oddest thing will suddenly transform itself from a foregone conclusion to weird and wonderful new choices and opportunities. It’s unnerving actually.

For example, food. It was recently Valentines Day and on a mad impulse I got a bunch of good chocolate for half price. In total contrast to decades of putting down such foolishness, we have really been enjoying all the new flavours, and the whole glorious, sensual ritual of glomming chocolate into the cake hole.

Something has changed in my life; what was usual and comfortable for a long time suddenly has to contend with new ideas and opportunities that are enticing and mysterious (and sometimes a bit daunting). What’s a boy to do?

Remembering Alice, I try to limit myself to 5 or 6 improbable new things before breakfast. (Problem is though, like potato chips, you can’t have just one!)

Here is my secret feeling about all this. There are energetic changes to the planet, to the galaxy, to everything, that are ramping up in some way, inside us and all around us.

Just for fun, let’s try all the ‘woo-woo’ things we played with in the 70s and 80s – love, flowers, magic, music, hope. Maybe that was a dress rehearsal.
